Alum leaves lasting impact at local retirement community

Avery Heisey, a watchmaker, minister, and budding scientist, is being remembered for his contributions to the design and construction of a four-story Foucault pendulum at Messiah Village, a retirement community located near the College. Heisey was a Messiah alum as well as a former development office employee. The Harrisburg Patriot-News reflected on his life in a Nov. 13 article.
