Alumna serves with medical ministry in El Savador
August 13th, 2010
Messiah alumnus Marietta Yoder, an Amish Mennonite social worker, and Jana Nisy, a physician, grew up together in Kansas before they both left to pursue their college educations. When Nisly chose to move to El Salvador to open a free medical clinic, she invited Yoder to accompany her. For almost 20 years, the two have seen up to 70 patients a day in the impoverished country. The Fremont Tribune (Neb.) ran a story about the two women on July 27.
