Alumna witnesses history firsthand in confirmation of Supreme Court justice

Alumnus Amanda Lavis was working for Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) when she was invited to prepare for and participate in the Senate Judiciary Commitee’s hearings on Elena Kagan, presidential nominee for the Supreme Court. Lavis researched Kagan’s background, speeches, publications and other writings. Her experience was profiled in an August 6 Harrisburg Patriot-News story.
