Two-student team earns second at regional bass fishing competition

Students Daniel Poli and Louis Wenger represented Messiah College at the National Guard FLW College Fishing Northern Division on the Potomac River on June 5 and netted four bass for a second place finish and a chance to compete at the national level in August. Poli’s and Wenger’s victory earned the team $5,000; at the national tournament, the team will be provided with jerseys and wrapped Ranger boats towed by Chevy trucks.
