Class of 2010 sets giving record and raises more than $6,500 for clean water project in Bolivia

June 2nd, 2010

The Centennial class of 2010 raised $6,591.52 to strengthen the community-to-community partnership between Messiah and Rodeo, Bolivia (set up through Food for the Hungry). Specifically, the funds will be used for a clean drinking water project for the community of Rodeo.

What’s even more exciting about this year’s senior class gift is that it is a continuation of last year’s gift. The total cost of the clean drinking water project is roughly $10,500. The seniors this year decided to finish what last year’s seniors started…and they certainly did finish it! The goal was to raise $6,002 (the reverse of 2006…when they started at Messiah) and they blew that out of the water (no pun intended).

Summer missions teams will travel to Rodeo, Bolivia this summer.
