The Sider Institute to Host Annual Schrag Lecture March 17

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Jan. 29, 2016) — The Sider Institute for Anabaptist, Pietist and Wesleyan Studies will hold its annual Schrag Lectures on March 17 at Messiah College. This year’s lecturer is Dr. Molly Worthen. She will deliver a lecture “The Curious History of the Christian Worldview: Theological Origins of the Culture Wars,” which will draw from her recent book, “Apostles of Reason: The Crisis of Authority in American Evangelicalism.” It will consider the role of Anabaptists and Wesleyans in the evangelical movement in the years after World War II. The lecture will be held at 7 p.m. in Parmer Hall in the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts. Admission is free; no ticket is required.
