The Sider Institute co-sponsors “What Young Historians Are Thinking” on Oct. 27

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 8, 2014) — The Sider Institute for Anabaptist, Pietist, and Wesleyan Studies at Messiah College and the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society co-sponsor “What Young Historians Are Thinking” Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. Three young Anabaptist historians under thirty will present short papers and take questions. Presenters and presentations include Brooke Strayer, “Tracing the Trajectory of the Brethren in Christ Peace Position in the United States”; Moira E. Mackay, “Lift up thy voice like a trumpet: Anne Knight and the Fight for the Enfranchisement of Humanity”; and Ted Maust, “John F. Funk and the Herald of Truth: Creating a Mennonite Social Network.” Admission is free; no ticket is required. The event will take place at Lancaster Brethren in Christ Church, located at 1865 Fruitville Pike in Lancaster, Pa. For more information, contact Devin Manzullo-Thomas at dcthomas@messiah.edu.
