About David Brooks
As a celebrated journalist for The New York Times and a frequent commentator for PBS NewsHour, Brooks explores different aspects of politics and culture.  In addition to his success at The New York Times and on the air, Brooks has also authored three books — one of which, titled “Bobos in Paradise,” gained recognition as a New York Times best-seller.

Prior to his position at The Times, Brooks worked at The Wall Street Journal for nine years in a range of positions, including as the op-ed editor.  In 1995, following his time at The Wall Street Journal, he continued his career at The Weekly Standard where he acted as the senior editor.  Brooks has also acted as a contributing editor for Newsweek and The Atlantic Monthly, and has written for periodicals such as The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, Forbes and The Washington Post.  Adding to these numerous achievements, Brooks has also written two books in addition to his New York Times best-seller: “On Paradise Drive” and “The Social Animal: The Hidden Sources of Love, Character and Achievement,” both of which focus on how culture impacts individual behavior and decision-making.
