Cherie Harder, president of The Trinity Forum, speaks at Messiah College Sept. 24

September 2nd, 2013

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Sept. 3, 2013) — Cherie Harder, president of The Trinity Forum and former special assistant to the president and director of policy and projects for First Lady Laura Bush, will address “Community, Calling and the Good Life” Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in Hostetter Chapel at Messiah College. About Cherie Harder
As president of The Trinity Forum, Harder leads the organization in its mission to “contributing to the transformation and renewal of society through the transformation and renewal of leaders.”

Earlier in her career, Harder served as policy advisor to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, advising him on domestic social issues and serving as liaison and outreach director to outside groups. From 2001 to 2005, she was senior counselor to the chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities, where she helped the Chairman design and launch the “We the People” initiative to enhance the teaching, study and understanding of American history. Prior to that, Harder was the policy director for Senator Sam Brownback and also served as deputy policy director at Empower America.
