Messiah College ranks seventh in the nation for sending students to study abroad, according to Open Doors report

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Nov. 15, 2010) — Messiah College ranks seventh in the nation for sending students to study abroad among colleges offering bachelor’s degrees, according to the Institute of International Education’s Open Doors report released Nov. 15. The report also mentions Messiah among those institutions whose study abroad participation rates tops 70 percent; Messiah’s rate is 76 percent. (The rankings are based on data from 2008-2009.)
Messiah has consistently ranked in the top 20 bachelor’s institutions for the past 10 years, according to Open Doors. Open Doors annually collects data from institutions across the country to obtain an accurate accounting of student participation in both study abroad and international students in the United States. Each November they publish a state-of-the-field report of their research.
