Messiah College presents The Manhattan Transfer concert

(Oct. 3, 2014) — The Messiah College Cultural Series presents The Manhattan Transfer Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. in Parmer Hall located in the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts. Philip Deloria to deliver American Democracy Lecture at Messiah College Oct. 23

Deloria, Carroll Smith-Rosenberg Professor of History and LSA Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education at the University of Michigan, will discuss “American Indians in the American Cultural Imagination” Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. in Parmer Hall located in the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts. Messiah College’s three-part Wittlinger Chapel Series addresses Brethren in Christ values

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Sept.4, 2014) — The principle of holy living is the focus of Messiah College’s annual three-part Wittlinger Chapel Series on Sept. 18, 25 and Oct. 23. Lecturers Dr. Stephen Gallaher, Dr. George Pickens and Dr. Emerson Powery will address biblical themes central to the Brethren in Christ’s heritage at Messiah College. This year’s themes include holiness, peacemaking and reconciliation. Each lecture will take place from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. in Parmer Hall at the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts. Messiah College Oakes Museum offers science enrichment program for children

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Aug. 15, 2014) — This fall, the Oakes Museum at Messiah College will offer children in grades three through eight the opportunity to participate in the Curator Club or CC2—multifaceted, hands-on science programs. The Curator Club, for children in grades three through five, meets from 9:45 a.m. to noon on Sept. 6 and 20; Oct. 4 and 25; and Nov. 1 and 15. CC2, for students in sixth through eighth grades, meets from 1:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 6, Oct. 4 and Nov. 1. Schedules of topics and activities for each session can be found at messiah.edu/oakes. Messiah College adds two new majors to 2014-15 undergraduate academic offerings

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (June 16, 2014) — Undergraduates at Messiah College can select from two new majors for the 2014-15 academic year: applied health science and music and worship. With the addition of these new programs—which both place a strong emphasis on experiential learning—Messiah now offers more than 80 undergraduate majors and seven graduate degrees. Messiah College launches new graduate programs in business and leadership

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (March 31, 2014) — Messiah College has expanded its graduate program offerings to include programs in business and leadership. These fully online graduate programs can be completed in one to three years depending on which program the student chooses.
