Messiah College adds two new majors to 2014-15 undergraduate academic offerings

June 16th, 2014

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (June 16, 2014) — Undergraduates at Messiah College can select from two new majors for the 2014-15 academic year: applied health science and music and worship. With the addition of these new programs—which both place a strong emphasis on experiential learning—Messiah now offers more than 80 undergraduate majors and seven graduate degrees. For a complete list of majors, please visit messiah.edu/majors.

About the new majors
Applied Health Science — This bachelor of science degree has three concentrations—pre–professional, pre-physical therapy and exercise science—that prepare students to go on to medical school, physical therapy school, other allied health programs or enter the workforce.

Music and worship — This bachelor of arts degree is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) and is designed to synthesize music, theology and the arts to equip students to be effective and dynamic worship leaders in a church setting. Students in this major will lead worship in a local church community as a requirement of the program.
