Rad views and all the foods

This morning after a hearty breakfast we ventured out on our tour of the modern Olympic stadium and the Agora.

The Agora was essentially an intellectual marketplace where ancient philosophers, such as Socrates and Plato, exchanged ideas and taught other Greek citizens about philosophical ideas.

Following our morning tour, we enjoyed a delicious meal of gyros, Greek salad, dolmades, and more. After lunch, a small group of us decided to hike up t0 the highest point of Athens. The hike was not long but brutally steep. However, the stunning view made it worth every step! There was a quaint little Orthodox church on top, which gave it some spiritual significance as well.

Upon returning from our journey, we all took a nap. Then we ate a communal dinner at the hotel. After dinner, Dr. Putt gave us a quick lesson on Plato, Aristotle, and early philosophy. Lastly, many of us roamed around Athens taking in the beauty of its ancient monuments and street side cafes.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time in Athens and are excited for our journey to Corinth tomorrow!
