Messiah College theatre department presents “Anatomy of Gray”

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Nov. 3, 2015) — The Messiah College Department of Theatre and Dance presents Jim Leonard’s “The Anatomy of Gray” at 8 p.m. Nov. 12-14 and Nov. 19-21, as well as 3 p.m. Nov. 15 and 22. His book “The Christian Imagination” discusses how Christianity has affected segregation. The lecture is sponsored by the Messiah College Ethnic & Areas Studies Major, Biblical and Religious Studies Dept., and the Center for the Public Humanities. Messiah College to host lecture by Bob Woodward on Oct. 27

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 9, 2015) — The Messiah College Office of the President is sponsoring a lecture titled “Presidential Leadership and the Price of Politics” presented by Bob Woodward Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Parmer Hall. Woodward is one of America’s preeminent investigative reporters and nonfiction authors. He worked with Carl Bernstein in 1972 and did much of the original news reporting of the Watergate scandal which led to many government investigations and the resignation of President Richard Nixon. The reporting efforts of Woodward and Bernstein have been referred to as “maybe the single greatest reporting effort of all time” by Gene Roberts, former managing editor of the New York Times. (Sep. 29, 2015) — Pulitzer Prize winning New York Times columnist, Nicholas Kristof, will discuss “A Path Appears: How an Individual Can Change the World” Oct. 5 at 7:15 p.m. in Parmer Hall located in the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts. Messiah College presents the Oakes Museum of Natural History’s Curator Club and Curator Club 2

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Sept. 8, 2015) — The Oakes Museum of Natural History’s Curator Club will hold a multifaceted science program for children grades 3-5 on Sept. 12, 26; Oct. 3, 31; and Nov. 7, 21. All activities will be held Saturday mornings from 9:15-11:30 a.m. The cost for all six activities is $75, or $15 per Saturday. The Oakes Museum’s Curator Club 2 will hold an educational science enrichment program for children in grades 6-8 on Sept. 12, Oct. 3 and Nov. 7. All activities will be held Saturday afternoons from 12:15-2:30 p.m. The cost for all three activities is $45, or $15 per Saturday. Continue reading…

Enrollment open to preschoolers at Messiah College’s Early Learning Center

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (April 17, 2015) — The Early Learning Center, a licensed, quality early childhood program on Messiah College’s campus, is now accepting enrollment for children ages three through five in its preschool program. Enrollment is open to the community. The preschool program operates five days a week year round and offers both half-day and full-day programming led by master level and veteran teachers.
