Messiah College School of the Arts presents Fauré’s Requiem

October 17th, 2016

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 17, 2016) — On Nov. 11 at 8 p.m., the Messiah College School of the Arts will present a unique collaborative performance of Gabriel Fauré’s beautiful and comforting “Requiem.” Ensembles joining forces will include: Maestro Stuart Malina and the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, the Susquehanna Chorale, ensemble-in-residence at Messiah, along with the Messiah College Concert Choir, both prepared by Messiah artist-in-residence Linda Tedford. The performance will also feature soprano Ashley Milanses and baritone Jonathan Hays as soloists. In addition to the Fauré, the program will include Berlioz’s epic orchestral showpiece, “Symphonie Fantastique.” The performance will be held in Parmer Hall, located in the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts.
