Professor’s one-woman exhibit challenges historical prejudices encountered by women seeking employment

Kathy Hettinga, distinguished professor of art, is currently exhibiting a one-woman show at the Women’s Studio Workshop in Rosendale, NY. The show—titled “We’d take you in a minute if you were a man” and other Outrages—contains artists’ books, photographs and digital prints and comes from Hettinga’s artist’s book looking at the historical prejudice women encountered in employment interviews, gaining admission to medical schools and the like during much of the 20th century.
