Montgomery County Community College students now able to transfer their credits and complete their degree at Messiah

September 13th, 2010

Under the agreement, Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) students who graduate with Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degrees or Associate of Applied Science degrees in Criminal Justice or Human Services are eligible for the partnership program.

Students who earn an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science in a degree program or an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice or Human Services with a 2.5 final cumulative grade point average (GPA) or higher will be admitted to Messiah College with junior level status.  Transferring students must also complete and submit a Messiah College Christian Life Recommendation form and sign the college’s Community Covenant Agreement.

“Messiah College is pleased to partner with MCCC to provide an academically challenging, hospitable community for MCCC graduates who wish to pursue a four-year degree,” said Kim S. Phipps, Messiah College president.

As part of the agreement, Messiah College will waive its admissions application fee and will award scholarships to MCCC graduates with GPAs of 3.0 or higher who attend Messiah College full time. Messiah College will provide academic advising assistance to students while they are earning their associate’s degrees.

Montgomery County Community College’s primary campus is located in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
