Sunflower project proves triple bottom line sustainability

April 30th, 2012

Campus Planning & Management magazine is once again featuring a Messiah College sustainability story. In the April 2012 issue, CP&M highlights the College’s sunflower initiative, a project that grows acres of sunflowers, harvests the seeds, presses the seeds into cooking oil, cooks cafeteria food in the oil, recycles the used oil, converts the used oil to biodiesel, and uses the biodiesel to run campus utility vehicles.

Read “Flower Power” by going to page 36 of the digital magazine.
