101 and still having fun!
Beautiful weather and record-setting crowds made for a fantastic Homecoming weekend, October 15-16, at Messiah!
More than 2,000 people attended Homecoming, enjoying everything from class reunions, to many family activities, to a big picnic, to high-scoring athletic events.
Here are a few highlights from this year’s festivities:
- 12 class reunions, including the largest ever “zero year” reunion!
- $48,826 raised for the Annual Fund through the generous giving of the classes of 1960 College, 1960 Academy, 1985, 2000, and 2005.
- A reading of “If You Give a Moose a Muffin” by President Kim Phipps to young children at the Oakes Museum.
- Winning athletics! Messiah blanked their opponents in field hockey and men’s and women’s soccer. More than 3,000 fans cheered on the men for the annual white out!
- Students and alums perform at Coffeehouse, a relaxing evening of music, coffee, and catching up with good friends.
