Coffee & Culture: Round Table

Love coffee? Enjoy discussing current events and pop culture? Have some extra time this J Term?

SAB Cultural Engagement will be hosting a weekly discussion group over January! The meetings will take place Tuesday nights, 7:30pm, at South Side Cafe. Topics include:

…and will all feature plenty of coffee. The conversations will be relaxed and student-led, the perfect way to get cozy on those dark J Term nights.

Thursday, April 27, 2017 is Wellness Day at Messiah College! The day will be filled with opportunities for students and employees to participate in a variety of activities designed to enhance your personal well-being, including a Wellness Fair from 2-5 PM.  Creative Drive Drawing Class!

Are you the type of person who can only draw a stick figure person and a snowman? Then this drawing class is for you! On Thursday, Jan. 19th, at 7:15pm in B130 Creative Drive is offering a free drawing class, which is open to any Messiah College student.

Creative Drive is a club that aims to help develop creative-thinking skills in order to live a fuller life, prepare for any future career, and appreciate the creative abilities that God has given us. Common activities include coloring, watching TED talks, using Play-doh, and playing fun games. The club will meet every Thursday evening at 7:15 for the remainder of the semester, and we would love to have you join!

Free Pizza and Google Rep with the Marketing Club!

Come on out to the Marketing Club’s J-term event to hear from Google Campaign Manager and Messiah communications alumna, Amy Skinner. She’ll tell us about her work at Google, and there will be plenty of time for Q & A.

As part of the MLK Commemoration Series, SAB presents “Loving” this weekend:

Loving, the story of Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple, whose challenge of their anti-miscegenation arrest for their marriage in Virginia led to a legal battle that would end at the US Supreme Court.

The purpose of the 2017 MLK Commemoration series is to reflect together on the vision and Christian ministry of Dr. King for the purpose of encouraging and cultivating a deeper commitment to be God’s agents of justice, peace and reconciliation.
