We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Practice Tours

Thanks to all of you who have completed your practice tours. It was evident that you spent time studying the facts and tour script and we really appreciate your hard work. If you would like another opportunity to practice before our first Open House, please let us know. We would be happy to arrange that for you, and we want to make sure everyone is feeling confident by October 12!

Professional Development – Mix & Mingle

Thanks to those of you who attended the professional development Mix & Mingle with Mike True last week. Mike shared many great insights and we want to provide you with an opportunity to apply what you learned to your work as an Ambassador:

  • First impressions – Be aware of the importance and power of first impressions. Professionally represent Messiah at all times.
  • Hand shakes – A firm handshake communicates confidence and friendliness. When you introduce yourself to the student you are hosting overnight and his/her family or to your tour group, consider shaking their hands to create a connection as you introduce yourself.
  • Name tags – Wear your nametag on the right side of your Ambassador jacket.
  • Confidence & Mingling – As a current student, be empowered to confidently initiate conversation with prospective families on event days  and to share your Messiah knowledge and experiences on tour. Students and families love hearing about your experiences!

Nametags

If you haven’t picked up your engraved nametags yet, please stop by the Admissions Office as soon as possible.
