We’ve been without internet access for awhile, so we’re sorry we haven’t blogged. The last you heard from us, we were leaving Georgia. After purchasing a new tent (one that actually had poles) we traveled about 4 hours to Jones Gap state park right on the border of North Carolina. The park was wonderful — very beautiful! It was nice to relax, build a fire, and just sit and talk. After a good night sleep we all took the morning for ourselves to wander around the park and have some quiet time. There was a great creek to explore and some nice hiking trails. After packing up we headed further into North Carolina and met with Tom Davis at his lake house. Tom is the director for Food for the Hungry and Ashley interviewed him. He was also gracious enough to let us borrow his lake house for the evening. Tom also took us out on the boat and let us try our skills at water skiing. That evening we decided that with our 5 interviews done and the 6th interviewee never finalizing an interview with us and running low on money, that our road trip was pretty much done. After a morning swim on Thursday we hopped into the car for one last leg of the trip. We arrived back in PA that evening after a lot of traffic. And so here we are. Ashley headed back to NY. Pam is on her way to Maryland. Abbie is spending some time at home in PA. And I am relaxing in PA.
We’ll blog a few more times to fill you in on some of the later interviews we did.

This is the fire Abbie built for us while camping:
