Quantitative SEO Analysis is brought to you by Gnosis Arts Multimedia Communications LLC - an SEO & Internet Marketing firm in New Jersey. The blog explores the intersection of two specialized disciplines: Qualitative Data Analysis (QDA) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). QDA was borne primarily out of research conducted in the 1980s called Grounded Theory. Grounded Theory was an attempt to normalize the principles of research in the fields of Education and the Social Sciences. QDA refers to a method of analyzing large sets of data mathematically (quantitatively) in order to draw conclusions about the value of that data and the pragma such data suggests (the qualitative part).
Search Engine Optimizers - who increasingly rely on data concerning the number and diversity of links, the density of keywords, the weight (or link power) of certain URLs, or the “trust rank” of a domain - perform quantiative SEO analysis on a regular basis, whether they know it or not. This blog attempts to justify (or disclaim) SEO practices, based on the quantitative approach.
The blog also aims to discover novel SEO practices by the same approach. It is the author’s hope that Quantitative SEO Analysis will inform best practice SEO as information retrieval enters into the Semantic Web age.
