Messiah College theatre department presents “Summer Brave”

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (March 27, 2015) — The Messiah College Department of Theatre and Dance presents William Inge’s production “Summer Brave,” April 16-19 and 23-26. Show times are 8 p.m. on April 16-18 and April 23-25 and 3 p.m. on April 19 and 26. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for children. About “Summer Brave”

Described by William Inge as “the rewritten and final version of the romantic comedy “Picnic,” “Summer Brave” tells the story of the Owens family, who is preparing for the Labor Day picnic when a handsome and impulsive stranger comes to their small Kansas town. As events unfold, each character must face the consequences of their choices and determine if they have the courage to face the unknowable future without letting life pass them by.
