About the Sider Institute

The Sider Institute for Anabaptist, Pietist and Wesleyan Studies promotes the exploration and interpretation of Anabaptism, Pietism and Wesleyanism—the theological traditions that shape the “personality” of the Brethren in Christ Church, the founding denomination of Messiah College, and that inform the College’s educational mission today.

About J. Nelson Kraybill

Kraybill is lead pastor of Prairie Street Mennonite Church in Elkhart, Indiana, and president-elect of Mennonite World Conference, a global fellowship of Anabaptist-related churches. The author of numerous books and articles, Kraybill’s most recent publication, “Apocalypse and Allegiance: Worship, Politics, and devotion in the Book of Revelation,” examines one of the most contested books of the Bible, considering its meaning in its original historical context and its significance for readers today. He is president emeritus of Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (1996-2009) and former program director of the London Mennonite Center in London, England. In addition, he has lectured or preached for diverse audiences in England, Ireland, Spain, Canada, United States, Uruguay, Puerto Rico, Korea and Japan.
