Messiah College hosts Ruth Naomi Floyd lecture and performance Nov. 5

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 15, 2014) — Ruth Naomi Floyd will host a lecture and performance with Aaron Graves and Matthew Parrish called “What is Jazz?” Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. in Parmer Hall located in the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts. Ruth Naomi Floyd is a gifted vocalist-composer who has been at the forefront of creating vocal jazz settings that express Christian theology for over 17 years.
