Messiah College presents The Manhattan Transfer concert

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 3, 2014) — The Messiah College Cultural Series presents The Manhattan Transfer Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. in Parmer Hall located in the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts. General admission tickets are $35 and student tickets are $15. To purchase a ticket, contact the Messiah College Ticket Office at 717-691-6036 or tickets@messiah.edu. About The Manhattan Transfer

Long known as musical pioneers, the platinum-selling super group made Grammy history by becoming the first to simultaneously win a Grammy in both the jazz and pop categories. The group, which is a member of the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, has won 10 Grammys and been nominated for 17. The Manhattan Transfer is comprised of Cheryl Bentyne, Tim Hauser, Alan Paul and Janis Siegel.

**Update: On Friday, Oct. 17, Messiah College learned of the passing of The Manhattan Transfer’s founder and lead singer Tim Hauser. Despite this unfortunate and sad news, The Manhattan Transfer’s tour will continue as scheduled to honor Mr. Hauser’s incredible legacy.
