Messiah College presents the Tim Warfield Sextet concert

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Feb. 14, 2014) — The Messiah College Cultural Series and School of the Arts present the Tim Warfield Sextet March 8 at 8 p.m. in Parmer Hall located in the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts.  General admission tickets are $25 and student tickets are $5.  To purchase a ticket, contact the Messiah College Ticket Office at 717-691-6036 or tickets@messiah.edu.

About Tim Warfield
Messiah College artist-in-residence and jazz saxophonist Tim Warfield Jr. will be joined by some of the finest musicians in jazz, including trumpeter Terrell Stafford, vibraphonist Stefon Harris, pianist Cyrus Chestnut and bassist Rodney Whitaker. Warfield, a native of York, Pa., has recorded several critically acclaimed albums, earning the praise that he is “possibly the most powerful tenor saxophonist of his generation.” In March 2013, he released his latest album, “Eye of the Beholder,” on the Criss Cross Jazz label.
