Messiah College theatre department to present family-friendly musical “A Year with Frog and Toad”

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Jan. 17, 2013) —Arnold Lobel’s beloved Frog and Toad books jump from page to stage as the Messiah College Department of Theatre and Dance presents the endearing musical “A Year with Frog and Toad.” Performances run Feb. 7-9 and Feb. 14-15 at 7 p.m. with matinee performances on February 10, 16 and 17 at 3 p.m. Meet all the characters at the cookie celebration following each show. All performances take place in Miller Theatre, located in Climenhaga Building. Tickets cost $7 for students and children under 12 and $11 for general admission. About “A Year with Frog and Toad”
Best friends, Frog and Toad, wake from hibernation and journey through a year of hilarious and touching adventures. With the help of some quirky side-kicks, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, sled, and learn important life lessons along the way. Most importantly, Frog and Toad learn to appreciate one another’s differences.The Messiah College performance, directed by Valerie Rae Smith, professor of theatre, promises an entertaining show for families and children of all ages.
