Messiah College theatre department presents classic comedy “The Good Doctor”

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Oct. 24, 2013) — The Messiah College Department of Theatre and Dance and Director Curtis Sisco present Neil Simon’s classic, “The Good Doctor,” Nov. 14 through Nov. 24.  All shows are at 8 p.m. except for Nov. 17 and Nov. 24 when shows are scheduled for 3 p.m.  The play will be held in Miller Theater, located in the Climenhaga Building.  General admission tickets cost $10; student and senior citizen tickets cost $7.  To purchase a ticket, contact the Messiah College Ticket Office at 717-691-6036 or visit messiah.edu/theatretickets. Messiah College invests in the humanities with scholarship program

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Oct. 15, 2013) — Messiah College signals its commitment to the humanities and the value of a liberal arts education with the creation of the Humanities Scholars Program, a four-year scholarship program for students enrolled in the college’s School of the Humanities. Each year, 10 Dean’s Scholarships in the Humanities will be awarded to accomplished, incoming students selecting majors in the following departments at Messiah College: biblical and religious studies, communication, English, history, modern languages, philosophy, and politics and international relations. GRANTHAM, Pa. (Oct. 10, 2013) — The Messiah College School of the Arts presents classical chamber music ensemble The Mendelssohn Piano Trio Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m.  The concert will be held in the High Foundation Recital Hall located in the Calvin and Janet High Center for Worship and Performing Arts and will feature trios inspired by Ludwig van Beethoven.  Free tickets are required for the concert.  To reserve a ticket, contact the Messiah College Ticket Office at 717-691-6036 or visit messiah.edu/tickets. GRANTHAM, Pa. (Oct. 3, 2013) — The Messiah College Student Activities Board presents critically acclaimed pop/rock artist Mat Kearney and special guest artist Kishi Bashi Oct. 26 at 8 p.m.  The show will be held in Brubaker Auditorium located in the Eisenhower Campus Center; doors open at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets cost $25 for the general public.  Concert tickets will be on sale until the night of the concert or until the show sells out.  To purchase a ticket, contact the Messiah College Ticket Office at 717-691-6036 or visit messiah.edu/tickets.
