Messiah College’s theatre department to present “Little Women”

September 15th, 2011

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Sept. 15, 2011) —  Messiah College’s theatre department will perform “Little Women” as the fall production. The drama, adapted by Marisha Chamberlain from the novel by Louisa May Alcott, will be directed by guest director Elizabeth Reed. The show will run on Oct. 6, 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. in Miller Auditorium, located in Climenhaga Fine Arts Center. Tickets cost $6 for students and seniors and $10 for general admission. To purchase tickets, contact the box office at 717-691-6036 or online at messiah.edu/tickets.

About the production
“Little Women” is a beloved classic, following the lives of the March sisters and their mother, Marmee, who are left to fend for themselves after their father is called to serve the nation in the Civil War. These women are able to find joy, happiness and peace amidst a fighting country. Throughout the show, their quirky personality traits will be discovered, but in the end it is their love of family that conquers all. This production mirrors a story of a wonderful family which is heartwarming to all.
