Messiah College School of Science, Engineering and Health to present student and faculty research in Eighth Annual Scholarship Symposium

 GRANTHAM, Pa. (April 8, 2011) — The School of Science, Engineering and Health at Messiah College will host a Scholarship Symposium on April 29. Located in the Jordan, Kline and Frey academic buildings, engineering presentations will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Likewise, presentations in the concentration of biochemistry, chemistry, environmental science, information science, molecular biology, mathematics and nursing will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The symposium is free and open to the public. This event is a celebration of discovery, innovation and application. Its purpose is to engage students and faculty in discussion about their research and scholarly work. Presentations will comprise of student and faculty research, senior year projects, international course travelogues, program initiatives, demonstrations and posters. Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate and graduate students. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg. A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia.
