March 12th, 2009

GRANTHAM, Pa. (March 12, 2009) — On April 1 professionals from the field of family science will meet with current Messiah College students along with other local groups to discuss the family science profession, specifically working with the adult population. The event will be held at 4:30 p.m. in Parmer Cinema located in Boyer Hall on the college’s Grantham campus. There is no admission fee. The panel is sponsored by the Messiah College Department of Human Development and Family Sciences (HDFS).

The event is organized to provide both current and prospective students with an opportunity to explore the many career options available to them with a HDFS degree. Five Messiah alumni will participate and share about their chosen career and how a Messiah education prepared them.

Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,800 undergraduate students in 55 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg. A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia.
