Prospective students and families invited to Messiah College open house

Messiah College students provide free tax preparation and electronic filing

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Jan. 25, 2008) — Messiah College students will help area residents prepare their income tax returns and file them electronically—free of charge—beginning Feb. 4 through April 10 at several local sites. Primarily benefiting the elderly, low-income residents and persons with a disability, the service was created to serve those who cannot afford professional tax help. GRANTHAM, Pa. (Jan. 18, 2008) — Starting Feb. 8, the striking sculptures of Donna M. McCullough will be on exhibition in Aughinbaugh Art Gallery, located in the Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on Messiah College’s Grantham campus. Titled “she/her/me,” the exhibition will remain on display until March 7 and may be viewed during regular gallery hours. Messiah College to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday with service and educational experiences in Harrisburg

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Engagement Day on Jan. 21, an event involving 60 students, faculty and staff celebrating King’s life and vision through a variety of service and educational activities in Harrisburg. Messiah College debuts the playful, entertaining musical “Godspell”

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Jan. 16, 2008) — For more than 30 years, the musical “Godspell” has been charming audiences through its creative presentation of parables from the Gospel of Matthew. Employing a fresh perspective, the department of theatre at Messiah College will perform “Godspell” on Feb. 7-9 and 14-16 at 8 p.m. and on Feb. 10 and 17 at 2 p.m. Each performance is in Miller Auditorium in the Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on the college’s Grantham campus. Messiah College announces winter schedule of contemporary films

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Jan. 8, 2008) — The Messiah College Lost Films Society, the on-campus film group sponsored jointly by the college’s department of communication and the Student Activities Board, has announced its contemporary film series for January and February. All films will be shown in Parmer Cinema, Messiah College’s state-of-the-art screening facility, located on the ground floor of Boyer Hall on the college’s Grantham campus. In addition to evening showings, a Saturday matinee is available for each film. GRANTHAM, Pa. (Jan. 2, 2008) — Ray Aldred of the Swan River Cree Nation in Alberta, Canada, will speak Jan. 22 at 9:45 a.m. on “Economic Justice in Light of the Incarnation” in conjunction with Messiah College’s commemoration of Martin Luther King, Jr., a week-long celebration themed “The Cost of Love.” The event featuring Aldred will be held in Brubaker Auditorium in the Eisenhower Campus Center on the college’ Grantham campus.
