Congratulations! What an accomplishment and honor! I am proud for you, myself and Messiah. What a great stride for the history of women and the College.

I too am celebrating a recent major accomplishment. A 1987 Messiah alumni, I published my first book this month! Its called, Before I Go Away — How I Experienced Life, Vol. 1.

The biography in the back mentions my having attended Messiah at age 16, and the support I received from my dear professor, Rhonda (Thompson, i think) to, in the wake of my dad’s devasting death, finish college “not triumphantly, but somehow.” And I did.

Celebrating and sharing our successes is important. I am glad to have read of your achievement.

I was actually on the site looking for the time that the communications department is meeting today, the weekend of my 25th year college reunion. I am glad i learned of this in my search, though it seems doubtful I will be able to get there to celebrate with others today.

Nevertheless, I am very proud of your accomplishment, and happy to be connected to such excellence of Spirit. I shall list this accomplishment in the iKonic Black Hall of Excellence. The Hall of Excellence is not yet live online. I can let you know when it goes live. Welcome and congratulations again! Thank you for forwarding the legacy of Messiah College.
