Messiah “crushes” the competition in recycling contest

Recyclemania, a 10-week competition that challenged colleges to out-recycle one another, ended with Messiah recycling 20.79 pounds per person and earning a state ranking of eighth!

Soccer standout signs with professional team

April 16th, 2009

Kai Kasiguran, an outstanding midfielder who helped lead the Falcons to three national championships between 2004 and 2006, will return to central Pennsylvania to play for the Harrisburg City Islanders professional soccer team.

In 2008, Kasiguran was drafted in the first round of the supplemental draft to play for the Major League soccer team, Chicago Fire.

Messiah adds Chinese to modern language curriculum

Starting in the fall, students can complete the general education language and cultures requirement by taking Chinese 101: Fundamentals of Chinese and then enrolling in subsequent semesters of Mandarin Chinese.

Student wins playwriting competition and chance for production

“How My Light Is Spent,” a one-act play written by Danielle Sahm `09, was one of four winners chosen in a Drury University playwriting competition.

Sahm’s play was selected from among nearly 300 entries.
