Did you hear?  The presidential candidates are coming to Messiah!  Well, Clinton and Obama are at least.  McCain was invited as well but so far hasn’t accepted.  I guess he doesn’t feel the need to come since he’s already grabbed the republican nomination.  The event is taking place on Sunday, April 13th, right inside our small Brubaker auditorium.  It’s not a debate, but rather each candidate will get 45 minutes to speak on social issues.  I’m not sure if there will be a question and answer time or not.  I guess we’ll see.

They only had a limited amount of tickets for students on campus and I was lucky enough to get picked in a drawing to attend.  CNN is going to be broadcasting the event live on TV however, so everyone can watch.  This is going to be a once in a lifetime chance though, I’m sure.  I’m not too crazy about politics, but I’ve been following these campaigns more than usual though, so I’m excited.  What an opportunity for Messiah College too.  We’re going to get national attention.  Great things for the college.
