Homecoming, and Such…
Tonight the Homecoming Dance will be going down. It is held here on campus, unlike our Christmas and Spring dances, and each year there is a theme it follows. This year it is “La Terazza de la Sera” which I didn’t have a clue to its meaning until yesterday. Apparently the dance will have a Italian terrace style to it, with street lights, park benches, and other Italian terrace like things…
Beyond tonight, there is the powderpuff football games tomorrow. This is where the girls play flag football against each other while the guys cheerlead (they get a half time show too). It’s pretty entertaining all in all.
Then there are the soccer games. The Women’s team plays at 3:00 against Lebanon Valley. They are undefeated this season so far. In fact, they’ve only given up 3 goals so far (they’ve scored 55 goals). This should be an excellent game to watch.
I am more excited about the Men’s game however. They play at 6:00 tomorrow against Wheaton College, who they defeated in the National Championship game last year. Messiah has had it’s struggles, and injuries, and Wheaton has done very well for themselves this year. This will be a huge game for them.
Besides the official events taking place, I am looking forward to hanging out with my girlfriend, roommates, and some friends who are alumni who will be staying in my apartment for the weekend. Should be a great time had by all.
Until next time. Have a good weekend. Let me know what you’re up to!
