Paul Harvey was a friendly voice on radios across America for more than 50 years. Last week, when Harvey died at age 91, many remembered the radio personality for his famous “and now you know the rest of the story” send off. Ed Arke, chair of the communications department at Messiah, reflected on Harvey’s legacy in a March 8 “As I See It” column for the Harrisburg Patriot-News. In addition to remembering Harvey’s contributions to radio, Arke looks ahead to challenges and opportunities facing the radio industry.
