Educator reflects on “the forgotten virtue of gratitude”

Fea, recalling his childhood as the son of a blue collar father, explains how his gratitude surely stems from his upbringing.

Educator comments on trends in homeschooling

Homeschooling continues to grow more popular among a broader and more representative group of the American public, according to education professor Milton Gaither and recent findings from Education Next/Program on Educational Policy and Governance’s 2008 national education survey. “Business Wire” quoted Gaither throughout a Nov. 19 review of the latest homeschooling statistics.

Internships better prepare students for the workforce

Messiah has a “one-stop shop” for employers, students, and faculty to utilize, all with the goal of making the student a better future employee, according to Mike True, director of the College’s Internship Center. True, with his colleagues Beth Clark and Mike Blount, are featured in the November issue of “Central PA” magazine in an extensive article about why internships are an essential component of education.
