The Reading Man is a podcast devoted to books that reviewer Pete Powers has finally found the time to get around to. Powers makes no claim to either currency or profundity, but shares with Ezra Pound the belief that literature, and good books in general, are news that stay news.
Pete Powers is currently the interim dean of Messiah College’s School of the Humanities and is also a professor of English. Powers enjoys finding the connections between his many areas of interest: American literature, ethnic studies, creative writing, and cultural theory. He also holds the distinction of being Messiah’s only operatic tenor!
