designing for the 98%

This week visiting artist Bryan Bell came as a guest lecturer to campus! He started Design Corps, a non-profit organization, that designs and builds structures for people on the margins of
society. Right now he is particularly concerned with housing for migrant workers. His designs are structured around recycling, using found materials to create fresh, funky, and interesting structures. Bell’s well thought out and developed designs could easily be craved and demanded by the affluent of society. But his sole goal is to creatively and carefully design buildings concerned with meeting the inhabitants needs. awesome. :)
