Sorry it has been awhile. I am slowly recovering from an incredibly fun-super-tiring homecoming weekend. Almost my whole family has graduated from Messiah, so whenever homecoming rolls around, you know there is going to be no sleeping involved.

I think my favorite part of the day is going to the alumni vs. current student athlete games. haha, they are hysterical. Everyone comments that the alumni will surely win - if they can still breathe when then run.

I also really enjoyed powderpuff and powderpuff cheerleading. The guys all make remixes of the newest pop songs and then craft provocatively-silly routines. (No really, I am talking about pleather and fake velvet mixed with Britney Spears and the Spice Girls…)

I’ll post pictures soon. Until then. Ciao.

These are my favorite things to do at Messiah as a senior. You should come over and check them out…

5. sit on the comfy couches in the library when i study
4. bake ridiculously delicious cookies with my roommates
3. make piles of crunchy red and orange leaves and jump in them
2. watch Messiah soccer games surrounded by the sea of blue and white (go team!!)
1. veg. out in front of the tv with my roommates and watch the marathon of “What Not to Wear” (haha, oh senior year.)

What is it anyway? I mean, I think I know because the word is tossed around so much, but I think I want to get a serious understanding now.

Alright, according to good ole’ webster, trust is “one in which confidence is placed.” Hmmm.. well that sounds about right. That seems to be a pretty important concept tho… to have your confidence placed in someone or something else. And what is confidence you ask? I found a few that I think tie it all together nicely… “faith or belief that one will act in a right, proper, or effective way, the quality or state of being certain, or a relation of trust or intimacy.” (pretty deep stuff).

And I think I need to tell you all of this to explain the name for my blog, “holdyourbreath.” I picked the title thinking about the specific instances that people find themselves holding their breaths…

First, when you are little and you go across a bridge or railroad tracks you always screaming to everyone in the car.. “HOLD YOUR BREATH AND MAKE A WISH!!” fully believing it will come true. The second is when something bad is happening and you are holding your breath hoping that the outcome will be okay. its like that omg i cannot breathe yet feeling or it might all come undone. And finally there is the feeling of holding you find yourself unable to breathe because of surprise that someone just planned for you… like a surprise birthday party, or Valentines Day date full or rose petals and lovey-dovey music (all planned of course by yours truly…with the help of your roommates haha).

i think i like holding my breath. because there is always something about to change, or you are wishing that it would anyway.

i think i like the wishing part the best because it means you are putting your trust in something bigger than you to make it all work out, and that something is God. and he is really the only one who deserves all of your trust and your confidence.

so why don’t you join me - come hold your breath and start wishing…

Sooo…senior year, what up!? I can’t believe that I finally made it. This is my first time blogging, so you’ll have to bear with me as I divulge into a million stories all at once.

When I moved in it just felt so weird. This is really the last time I ever have to do it!! Of course, I brought way to many clothes…(I tend to bring my entire wardrobe so that I don’t ever have to think, “Oh, I wish I had that,”) This year I’m living with 3 of the same roommates from last year and my roommate from Sophomore year. I am really excited – I love these girls!!

I wonder what its going to be like tho… This year I will be working a lot and interning throughout, hopefully, the whole year. I am a Marketing major with an emphasis in Public Relations and a million hopes and dreams. Welcome to my life : )
