Homecoming: a COM 224 Production

This year we’ve been able to do a small production of a film in my COM 224 Preproduction class, Homecoming. Here’s a still from a break in shooting on location: |

It’s a story of one family’s loss of their only son, Ryan, in the Iraq War. The emotional repercussions for Ryan’s young wife, Deidre (Amanda Chopas), his best friend, Stan (Justin Johnson), and his father, Tim Green (Brian Smith) destroy relationships, take another life, and create new love. But the War isn’t over, and it draws the survivors back in. No matter where they call home, the Iraq War is there. |
