Film and Digital Media @ Messiah

The biennial Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA) Conference will be here at Messiah shortly. The conference brings together Christians from many, many denominations to share, pray and display their art. This year’s conference is titled “Virtue and the Virtual” although I don’t think it’s entirely focused on either, but embraces a broad spectrum of art works and art forms.

One of the art forms more recently brought on-board CIVA’s movement is the Moving Image, including videos, films and other “art-images-in-motion”. I am the head of the Moving Image Network for CIVA and am looking forward to the conference quite eagerly. Since it’s here at Messiah, I am especially looking forward to highlighting our program.
