not sure yet…
I’m not sure where this blog’s going to end up, so bear with me…
Well, tomorrow I’ll be 22. The big 2-2. This past year I’ve been through so many ups and downs it’s unbelievable!! Not to mention that I’ve learned a TON about myself. I hope that this next year I will continue to grow up and grow deeper in my faith. I think I’m finally in a place do do both of these simultaneously. Be praying for me…
I’ve been blessed with some great friends, including my amazing boyfriend, a supportive family and some wonderful professional experiences. While I’m dreading yet another transition after graduating from college, I’m really looking forward to it. The internships and classes I’ve taken at Messiah have me anxious to apply everything I’ve learned. Moreover, I’m beginning to seriously consider non-profit work, which is something that I had never previously thought I would do.
This next year I hope to: go to grad school, move some where different (maybe NY, Cali? ), travel to Europe, work at a public relations/advertising firm, have an intensive work-out routine…AGAIN, earn straight A’s and slow down enough to enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
See ya’ next time…

Well, I just finished a weekend of catch-up and boy am I tired!! This is the first week where I’ll be attempting to juggle a full load of classes and two jobs. I’m hoping I haven’t bitten off more than I can chew. There’s just so many great opportunities that it’s hard to turn them away. I’m sure that this year is going to be full of once in a life time experiences where I’m going to learn so much about myself and the career that I’m pursuing. It’s kind of neat being able to apply all that I’ve learned these past three years to real life situations. AND it’s great not having to work retail!! It’s amazing how using your head at work makes time fly by so much faster than when you’re standing on your feet for eight hours surrounded by racks of clothing and customers who don’t really want your help, but you have to ask.
Even though I’m already feeling the pressures and stresses of the semester ahead, I’m really excited to be back on campus. I had forgotten over the summer how much I really enjoy going to class at Messiah and how great my teachers are!! Last week my theology class was probably better than any sermon I have ever heard at church. The message and passion behind it was very affective and hit home for me. Prof. Cyster talked about how we need to make our faith personal, that God will come to each of us differently depending how how we need to EXPERIENCE him and that by grace we will ALWAYS be forgiven of our sins as long as we turn back to Christ. This message of experiencing personal faith and being forgiven by grace reminded me that I can forgive myself from my sins because Jesus forgives me. He loves me even when I fall short of myself.
I wonder what message He’ll send me this week…
Praying for strength.
