You know that old saying that you always learn from your mistakes? Well unfortunately it was my turn to get a taste of learning from a huge mix up…and let me tell you it couldn’t have come at a more inconvient time!

Over Thanksgiving Break I had the daunting task of completing a 10-15 paper which consisted of taking a communication theory, comparing it and analyzing it to a communication artifact. So saturday of break I spent many hours working away at this paper only to get a big suprise Monday afternoon. While I was at work I was pleasantly (ha! not really!) suprised to find out that the theory I had chosen was not one we could pick from. Figures out of about the 20-25 theories we have learned I would have to pick one I couldn’t use. So after having a nice 8 pages done of analyzing one of my favorite movies, Lars and the Real Girl, I had to start over again.

All that hard work down the drain. So in order to compensate I chose my favorite TV show, Ugly Betty. Although I can’t say that I didn’t mind watching it to get some inspiration, I can say that learning from mistakes stinks!
