MLK week and Campus Entrance

South Entrance Closing at Railroad January 18th- February 1st- UPDATE

*****UPDATE*****

We previously reported the railroad crossing would be closed between January 18th and February 1st for work done by Norfolk Southern.

They have now changed the dates for the closing to be between January 23rd and February 3rd. The crossing will NOT be closed the entire time but we are not sure of the exact dates of closure as that will be driven by weather.  Detour signs will be posted to help navigate around the closure.

Please refer to the campus map attached to help with entering and exiting campus during this time.

Questions may be directed to Brad Markley at ext. 3500.

Coffee & Culture: Round Table

Love coffee? Enjoy discussing current events and pop culture? Have some extra time this J Term?

SAB Cultural Engagement will be hosting a weekly discussion group over January! The meetings will take place Tuesday nights, 7:30pm, at South Side Cafe. Topics include:
Jan 10th: Who is Harambe?
Jan 17th: What is feminism?
Jan 24th: Best of 2016
…and will all feature plenty of coffee. The conversations will be relaxed and student-led, the perfect way to get cozy on those dark J Term nights.

Email sabculturalengage@messiah.edu if you would like to be added to a coffee and culture mailing list and stay up to date with the discussion group.

Tuesday nights. 7:30pm. South Side Cafe. Let’s talk!

ACDA Hymn Sing

Tired of J-Term?? Then join us on Thursday, January 12th for a good old fashion hymn sing. That’s right, invite your friends and come down to the High Center at 7pm for a time of hymn singing with organ and piano (and even a time to request your favorite hymn). You won’t want to miss this event. Musical leadership will be provided by Mr. Eric Dundore. Mr. Dundore is the Director of Music at St. Paul’s U.C.C. in Mechanicsburg for the last 31 years and a retired public school teacher . So take a break from the books…and come sing some hymns!
The details: Thursday, January 12, 7pm, Parmer Hall (in the High Center) Bring friends, and we’ll see you there!

Thanks, The American Choral Directors Association
