Acclamation Dance Ministry is pleased to announce our 2016 Winter Concert, “Grace Overflowed”, which will take place on December 3rd at 7pm at Camp Hill United Methodist Church!

The theme of the concert is based on John 1:16 which reads, “out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.” We would love if you would spend the night pondering this idea of grace with us as we seek to understand the weight of this simple word.

Buy your tickets today at messiah.edu/acclamationtickets, they are $5 for everyone ages 5 and up. Please make sure to buy your tickets online BEFORE the show- do not count on them being available at the door!

Also, don’t feel like driving off campus? No problem! Transportation will be provided free of charge to and from Camp Hill United Methodist Church where the concert will be taking place. Transportation is limited, so pick up your free transportation ticket at the ticket office today but note you must still purchase the $5 ticket to the show online! Vans will be departing the Eisenhower circle at 6:20pm.

We hope to see you there! Contact Juliana Harris at jh1582@messiah.edu with any questions.

Fines Forgiven…..Feed Families

Did you receive a parking ticket this semester??? We have the solution! For the second year in a row, the Department of Safety is putting a twist on its enforcement for the holiday season to give back to the campus community while helping a local charity.

Cindy Burger, Director of Investigations, Compliance & Training with the Department of Safety is organizing the 2nd annual campaign. The department is giving violators who have been issued parking tickets the opportunity to pay their parking fines with non-perishable food items; these items will then be donated to a local charity.

How it works: Violators who have been issued parking tickets this fall semester (between September 1st through December 9th, 2016) can donate non-perishable food items to have a parking fine waived. The department will accept 10 non-perishable items in lieu of a $15.00 fine, and 20 items in lieu of a $35.00 fine. Maximum fine amount waived per person will be $100.00.

The campaign “Fines Forgiven….Feed Families” is a way for the safety department to connect with students in a positive way by offering amnesty over this holiday season. The campaign also enables Messiah College to provide food for those in our community who are in need.

Donations will be accepted starting Monday, December 5th and continuing through Friday, December 9th. Items can be dropped off at the Dispatch Office located in the Eisenhower Campus Center directly behind the Receptionist Office. Students wishing to have fines waived must provide their Messiah ID along with their items donated.

The Department of Safety is happy to accept donations from individuals even if they don’t have a fine to pay off. Remember they must be non-perishable items. Please consider donating to this worthwhile campaign to help those in our community who are less fortunate have a joyous holiday season!

Thank you from the Department of Safety!!
