Time Flies and So Do Our Children

The fall semester is drawing to a close, ALREADY.  Tomorrow is the last day of classes and then finals begin on Monday. And soon we’ll be welcoming the boys home again.   Time already to stock up the fridge, to make their beds, to clear my calendar a little so I can be around to catch what I can of their lives.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my children, though it seems more odd every year to call them that.  Both of my kids are taller, stronger, and in some ways smarter than I am.  Will I ever stop thinking of them as kids?

I worry and I wonder. Are they getting enough sleep?  Are they eating healthy food?  Are they studying enough?  Are they having enough fun?

There’s so much I’ll never know. But I’m proud, and incredible grateful for the way they’ve grown up during their time at Messiah.
